Maki Limura
Born into a family of woodworkers, he grew up surrounded by the smell of wood and sawdust from an early age. As he came into contact with tools and handiwork, a passion for architecture naturally blossomed. As a boy, he dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player and admired fashion, but ultimately he chose the path closest to him and closest to life - architecture.
While gaining experience at a major Japanese construction company, I strongly felt that a house is not just a "product," but a stage for nurturing family memories and life. In sales, design, and construction, I have always placed importance on "understanding the customer's feelings" and have always maintained an attitude of sincerely listening to what they have to say.
The source of this philosophy comes from his own experience. When he bought his first apartment as a young man, he was plagued by condensation in the winter, and humidity and mold made life less than comfortable. This bitter experience prompted him to travel to Japan, Canada, and Germany and begin research into creating comfortable and durable homes.
This spirit of inquiry and tenacity elevates the first stage of home building from "just a building" to a space imbued with warmth and soul. For Iimura Maki, a home is not a cold box, but a "stage for life" that responds to the hearts of those who live there.
Now, First Stage Malaysia has inherited this original spirit.
