A single-story house with an open feel thanks to its 5m high sloped ceiling

"Two of my friends were building houses designed by FS Kawashima. They'd been living there for a while, so I asked them if they had any complaints, and they said they had absolutely none! That was the deciding factor," says the husband. They apparently visited other construction companies at the housing exhibition, but FS's high degree of freedom was also appealing. While the exterior of the K residence appears to be two stories at first glance, it's actually a single story. When they visited a friend's house built with FS, they were impressed by its high ceilings. "That house is two stories with an open ceiling. Since then, the ceilings of other houses have always seemed low to me (laughs). I wanted to make the ceilings higher!" says the husband. Visitors are astonished by the overwhelming openness of the living room.
